Inviting customers to events was nothing new for Djurslands Bank, so we simply adapted something they already did in a new way. At the same time, Djurslands Bank found it appealing to promote exercise and an active lifestyle. Rethink was the slogan of Kulturby 2017 in Aarhus, so we rethought banking and used activity as currency. We integrated the Moves app (a well-known activity app with an open API) with the Djurslands Bank website, kulturkonto2017.dk. You downloaded the app to your phone, walked, ran, and cycled to earn points, then used your points to buy entry to Culture Capital 2017 events on kulturkonto2017.dk.
